the PETT
Compact Dry Toilet System
Lets face facts... "toilets", "heads", "Porta-Pottis" and such do not engender breathless anticipation of
the beauty of a sailing or boating experience. However, if you plan to be "out" for very long, you will need some kind
of facility for taking care of human wastes.
The PETT system is a very lightweight, very portable toilet seat in a kind of a briefcase arrangement. It
comes with something they call a "Wag Bag". The Wag Bag is actually a complete, convenient kit with the bag itself,
disinfectant cleaner towels, some toilet paper (just in case you don't have any), a zip-lock disposal bag, all in a convenient
kit. The actual bag contains something they call "Pooh Powder". What a great name! It actually works, too!

The Coleman ProCat PerfectTemp Catalytic Heater.
For sailing / boating adventures to continue into the winter, most of us need some way to at least take off the
chill, and preferably to give us at least some place that is toasty warm.
There are a variety of heaters available that are at least somewhat capable of doing the job. Which heater
is "right" for you may depend on the size of your boat, the weather in your area, and other personal preference items.
We do strongly recommend a catalytic heater with safety features if you are going to put a heater on a boat.
We now have several years experience with this particular heater and recommend it strongly.

The Kenyon Express II (or Glowmate) Stove
There are very few products that do the job for which they were intended, do it well and safely, and have a genuinely
reasonable price. This is one of those rare exceptions.
This unit is small, lightweight, highly safe, and works very well. The heat output is excellent, so it is
very effective for its small size. The price is very agreeable.
Unless you have room for and want to spend the money on a larger unit, I'd highly recommend this stove as the
small-size, low-cost alternative to expensive marine stoves.
